Why we start private
Not a hurdle. The reason people choose Axis.

Everyone starts one to one
An assessment and three privates before anything else. No other studio in the area does this.

Matched to one instructor
Someone who fits your needs, and you stay with them. No bouncing around.

Never more than six in a class
Small enough that your instructor sees every rep.

Team-based care
Instructors collaborate and share clients, so you're looked after whoever teaches.
Reach your goals with Axis
Pick what brought you here.
Stay strong and moving for the long haul.
Functional strength, balance and control that carries into everything else you do. Most of our clients are here for decades, not six weeks.

Three privates
Weeks 1 to 3
An assessment of posture, alignment, movement and any injuries. Then the equipment, taught properly, and a program built for you.
- 3
Your way from here
Week 4 onward [TBC]
Keep going with privates, move to classes of six or fewer, or mix both. Your instructor helps you decide, and stays with you.
We don’t give away anything for free because we believe in what we do. No free class, no drop-ins, on purpose.
Pilates for real bodies
Low-impact, equipment-based training for strength, mobility, posture and control. Our clients are 30 to 75, all shapes, sizes and genders, and a growing number of men.
It can feel unfamiliar at first. You’ll be guided through the equipment from your first session. Not luxury, not cheap. High touch, high quality, inclusive.
Start with 3 privates

The people members rate above everything
Team-based. Veterans mentoring newer instructors. Matched to you from day one.
In their words
“I came in after physical therapy for a back injury and honestly did not expect much. Three privates in, I could feel the difference. The assessment on day one was the most thorough I have had anywhere.”

Three ways to train
Private, duet and group. Max 6. 65+ classes a week, 7 days.

Private
One to one, built around you. Where everyone starts and many stay.

Duet
A shared private for 2 to 4 people you bring. Same attention, split cost.

Group
Never more than six. Reformer, tower, chair. Fast enough to work, small enough to be seen.
Familiar faces

No. Everyone starts with an assessment and three private sessions, so that when you join a class you know the equipment and your instructor knows you. If you already have Pilates experience, tell us and we will place you at your level.
No. We don't give away anything for free because we believe in what we do. The three privates are where results come from, and they are the best introduction to the studio you could have.
Not necessarily. Tell us about your experience through the form and we will place you in classes at the right level, or suggest one private to get you set up on our equipment.
We take care of it when you schedule your first session. Wear something you can move in, bring grip socks if you have them, and arrive a few minutes early. [TBC]
There is ample free street parking around the studio at 1138 E 6th Ave. [TBC: entrance tips]
The intro package is 3 private sessions for $225. After that, memberships run $140, $256 or $360 a month for 4, 8 or 12 classes [TBC], plus class packs and private and duet packages. Full pricing is on Mindbody.
